Making History provides each school with a wide range of resources to ensure the project’s success and delivery.
The programme has (6) lesson plans and can be delivered in 6-8 weeks or ideally over a longer period (up to 6 months) to allow them to fully engage and get the most out of the experience as they can
- Differentiated Lesson Plans for both Primary and Secondary schools
- Access to MyHeritage family tree-building software
- Access to Findmypast & MyHeritage for research
- Specialist technology support to enhance the use of resources/ iPads / film techniques and to ensure all these aspects run smoothly for each participating school
- Visits to each school from genealogy experts (such as Nick Barratt and Neil Fraser – see ‘Our Partners’ section on this website)
- Visits from celebrity mentors to encourage children’s learning
- Expert genealogy support for when a pupil may encounter a research problem
- Admin support for teachers
